Urban Acres Home Show
Interactive Home Show booths for Urban Acres Real Estate. In 2017, at the direction of Meld, an upside-down room was built for a one-of-a-kind photo booth experience. As the visual lead on this project, I provided materials recommendations, furniture and prop styling, and created a campaign wordmark—Turning Real Estate Upside Down—that was incorporated into booth signage and as a watermark on the professionally shot photo booth photos.
For the 2018 show, I was given the opportunity to fully realize my idea for a life-size coloring book installation with a charitable giving component—Urban Acres donated $10 for every square foot colored in on a local charity’s panel. I incorporated into the illustrations the charities’ logos, trees and rolling hills, homes in locally prominent architectural styles, Barb, the three-legged office dog, various brand elements, and other nods to Iowa City. In addition to illustration work, I provided recommendations on booth layout, swag, paint marker selection, and helped complete the arduous cut vinyl installation in the middle of a blizzard. It was a labor of love well worth the effort!
